Herein lie a collection of rants, raves, and philosophical discussions. I don't necessarily agree with all of the ideas I have posted here. Some of them represent the evolution of my thoughts over time. However, they generally deal with what I feel are significant issues:

Hinduism in My Life : Dealing with Shocks
My article for the Spring 2004 edition of Samskar, this one talks about dealing with the shocks of life. The discussion stems from Swami Adhyatma Chaitanya's first lecture at HSC UF, on Shivratri.

Hinduism in My Life: Understanding Values
This article I wrote for samskar, starting from the topic of values that Swami Dayananda Saraswati lectured on at the Global Dharma Conference. I was lucky enough to continue studying the subject in depth with Swami Adhyatma Chaitanya in his daily teleconference lectures.

The Other Face of 'The Other Face of Fanaticism'
Well, it seems no matter where you turn, it is impossible to escape from lies about India. In this rant I attempt to take apart an article by Pankaj Mishra recently published in the NYTimes.

The Four Goals of Life
Why does everybody think that spirituality has to be world rejecting?

The Cult(ure) of Emotionalism
Does anybody else sometimes feel like our society has become melodramatic?

Unfolding of a Value: Why it's good to have a teacher.
Here I talk about the values amaanitvam and adambhitvam, as I have learned them. I use this discussion to show practically why it is important to approach this subject with a teacher.

This website isn't just for me, if anyone else has something interesting to share, send it to me, and I'll post it.
